Bhubaneswar: Temperature touched the 35°C mark in Bhubaneswar for the first time in 2025 and the mercury is expected to rise further as the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dry weather for the next seven days. Taking to his X handle, weather scientist Umasankar Das said that for the first time in 2025, the mercury rose to 35 degree Celsius in the State Capital City of Odisha by 2.30 PM today. However, the highest temperature report will be released later today, he informed. Bhubaneswar had witnessed a temperature of 34.8°C yesterday.Meanwhile, the IMD said that the minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to gradually fall by 2-3 oC during the next two days and no large change thereafter subsequent 3 days over the districts of Odisha. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha and shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur during early morning hours at one or two places over the district of North Coastal Odisha till 8.30 AM of February 15. Similarly, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha between 8.30 AM of February 16 and 8.30 AM of February 20.
