Jharsuguda, Odisha; February 17th, 2025: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, conducted a free eye test camp for drivers in Jharsuguda, Odisha. In collaboration with Trilochan Netralaya, Jharsuguda, the company organised a free eye test campto ensure early detection of vision impairments and promote safer driving conditions. Through this initiative, 700 drivers have undergone eye screening, with those requiring corrective measures receiving free prescription glasses. The program aims to cover 1,000 drivers, ensuring they have access to essential eye care support for their daily operations.
Reiterating Vedanta’s safety-first culture, Sunil Gupta, COO of Vedanta Aluminium, said,“Our drivers are integral to our operations and their well-being is of utmost importance to us. Ensuring good vision is a crucial step towards helping them perform their duties effectively and reducing road risks.”
