CHSE Plus two exam begins from today, around 3.9 lakh students to write exams

Bhubaneswar: The Plus two exams begin in Odisha today. Conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), the exam will end on March 27. As many as 3,93,618 students will sit for the Plus two exam in several centres in Odisha. In the Arts Stream 2,47,391 students have registered, while in Science stream 1,14,980 students have filled the form. Around 25,526 will appear the exam from Commerce Stream while in vocational studies 5,721 students will give the exam. The students will write the examination in 1160 centers all over Odisha. The exams will commence from 10.00 am and will continue till 1.00 pm in the afternoon. Today the science students will appear for Odia language paper. A five level squad have been set up to arrest malpractices. CCTVs have been installed in all the centers to monitor the exams. As many as 500 centers will be monitored live under the direct surveillance of the board. For the first time, a 20 marked internal assessment exam is conducted for the Non Practical subjects. The institutions will send the marks of this internal assessment to the CHSE board. Following suit with CBSE, the CHSE has also stressed on the MCQ objective pattern. 110 upgraded Higher secondary schools are there in Odisha. The CHSE board also said that within 45 days of the finishing of the exams, the results will be out.
