Congress acting like cry babies, no rule broken in CEC appointment: BJP on Rahul Gandhi’s dissent note

New Delhi, 18/2: The BJP on Tuesday hit back at Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi for his objections over the appointment of the new Chief Election Commissioner, describing it as an effort to undermine an elected government’s constitutional mandate through “malicious” judicial activism. It also claimed that the Congress leaders are acting like “cry babies” even when no rule or law has been broken.

The responses by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya came as Rahul said it was “disrespectful and discourteous” for the Prime Minister and Home Minister to have made a “midnight decision” to appoint the new CEC.
