Khurda: At least two people died after a car rammed into a truck near Pitapalli square under Info valley police limits on Saturday. One more person inside the car is critically injured. Reportedly all the three people inside the car belong to Chandanpur in Puri district. The speeding car rammed into a truck coming from the other direction near the Pitapalli square. As an impact of the head-on collision the two people sitting in the front seat of the car died on the spot. Another person sitting behind is critically injured. The injured was rescued and rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment by the locals. Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. The car and the truck were seized under police custody. The identity of the three people is yet to be ascertained. Similarly in a sad incident an OSRTC Jagannath express overturned to the roadside after hitting an electric pole. Out of the 55 passengers, 12 were injured and one of them, a woman was critically injured.
