Basudebpur: In a shocking incident, a youth has sustained acid attack while he was asleep at his house on Friday. The incident happened in Laxmidashpur Ramchandrapur village of Basudebpur block under Naikanidihi police station in Bhadrak district. He was identified as Jagabandhu Palai and owns a tent business. He takes tender for setting up tent at several occasions. The youth was rushed to Basudebpur medical following the acid attack. He has reportedly sustained injuries on his head, eyes and face. As his health deteriorated he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital (MCH), Cuttack. According to information, Jagabandhu owned a tent business. On Friday, he had the Ashta Prahari Prasad and was resting at his home. Miscreants entered his house and poured acid on his face. The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. Police is suspecting that it might be due to previous enmity over tent house tender.
