Paraddip: Safety & Well-being Crucial for Viksit Bharat” as the theme, observation of the 54th National Safety Day and Week began at Paradip Port Authority. Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Shri P L Haranadh, Chairman, PPA inaugurated Safety Week Celebrations by hoisting the safety week flag and administering safety pledge. He also flagged off an awareness rally of employees and workers along with “Safety Rath” commenced from PPA Administrative Building and culminated at Gate No. 4 of PPA. Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Dy. Chairman, Shri Susil Chandra Nahak CME, along with all HODs’ and senior officers’ of PPA graced the occasion. Director of M/s. Chennai Radha, Shri V R Ramu, Regional Manager, Shri A. Ramesh, co-ordinated the event. As part of weeklong celebrations, various awareness activities like safety essay, debate and poster competitions amongst employees and ports users, seminars, dock safety training programmes will be conducted.
