Rayagada, :– Utkal Alumina International Limited (UAIL), A subsidiary company of Hindalco Industries Ltd of Aditya Birla Group observes the 54th National Safety Week with a commitment to foster a culture of safety and well-being among the community. The week-long celebrations bearing the theme “Safety and Well-being is Crucial for Viksit Bharat” aimed at adhere to workplace safety awareness and ensuring best safety practices among employees.
The event was inaugurated by flagging the safety flag and the safety Rath by Mr. Rabi Narayan Mishra, Unit Head, Utkal Alumina, along with Bijay kumra, FH HR, Uttam giri, FH Operation and Biswajit jowardar, FH safety and fire. To foster a collective sense of responsibility, a safety oath was conducted in Odia, Hindi, and English by the unit head Sri Mishra. He emphasized ensuring UAIL’s commitment to an injury-free workplace.
While addressing the gathering, Mr. Mishra highlighted on UAIL’s safety performance, reviewed previous incidents, and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Tool Box Talks (TBTs) as essential pillars for a safe and secure work environment. He stressed that proactive risk assessment and strict adherence to safety protocols are critical in preventing workplace incidents and ensuring the well-being of all employees.
