JSWF-ATDC Hosts Rojgar Mela to Boost Women’s Skill Empowerment

Sambalpur ,Skill empowerment remains a key focus area of JSW Foundation, and in
alignment with this vision, the JSWF-ATDC Sewing cum Production Center at Sripura Panchayat
successfully hosted a Rojgar Mela. In this job fair around 200 trained candidates participated to
secure placements in leading textile and apparel companies.
Reputed firms, including Shahi Exports, Bhubaneswar; VICTUS Dyeing, Tiruppur; Page
Industries Limited – Jockey, Chakardharpur, Odisha; and Aditya Birla Fashion Retail Ltd,
Bhubaneswar, participated in the event, conducting screening processes for the trained candidates.
The fair served as a crucial bridge between skilled individuals and industry leaders, facilitating
meaningful employment opportunities.
The event was graced by Mr. J.P. Singh, Vice-President of HR at JSW BPSL, Sambalpur, who
attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the significance of self-empowerment
for every woman, highlighting the role of skill training in fostering independence and financial
stability.
Mr. Vishal Raj, Head of CSR at JSW BPSL, Sambalpur, and JSW EUL, Jharsuguda, joined as the
Guest of Honour. He emphasized the efforts made by the JSW Foundation in enhancing women’s
skills and increasing their income opportunities. His remarks underscored the organization’s
commitment to sustainable development and economic empowerment.
Additionally, Mrs. Manju Singh, Placement Head of ATDC, provided insights into the textile
industry’s evolving demands and the critical role of trained professionals. She emphasized
ATDC’s strong industry connections, which have been instrumental in securing promising job
opportunities for candidates.
The Rojgar Mela marked a significant milestone in the ongoing journey of skill development and

empowerment. By linking skilled workers with prospective employers, the event reinforced JSWF-
ATDC’s dedication to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and fostering long-term socio-
economic growth through placement and self employment.
