Paradip – International Women’s Day celebrated every year on 8th March. With the motto “Let’s celebrate together the power of women’s creativity and art”, the Municipality of Paradip, has marked an activity in honor of International Women’s Day. In a meeting held at Jayadev Sadan here in Paradip on Saturday, the Chairperson of Paradip Municipality Basant Biswal congratulated all women on this unique day. On the occasion, Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister of Industries, Skill Development & Technical Education, Government of Odisha has joined as the chief guest and expressed that on a date like this, we should appreciate our shared success that today we have successful women and girls who have a voice in the society we live in. However, the minister said that our mission for an equal society must continue even further. Among others,Swarup Nandan Behera,Tehsildar cum Executive Officer incharge of Paradip Municipality, Sushree Smruti Swain, Addl. Executive Officer, Paradip Municipality, Dr. Sasmita Satapathy, principal, Paradip college, Priti Arati Parija, Advisor, Paradip Ladies Club were present in the programme and highlighted the important role of women. The meeting was crowded by women from various wards of Paradip Municipality.
