GIET University Celebrates International Women’s Day

Gunupur:(Correspondent):- GIET University, Gunupur, marked International Women’s Day with a grand celebration, bringing together esteemed dignitaries, faculty, students, and alumni. The event commenced with the arrival of guests, followed by a ceremonial presentation of flower bouquets.
Dr. Prativa Kar, Convenor of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), delivered the welcome address, setting the stage for an evening of insightful discussions and celebrations. The program featured addresses by senior university officials, including Dr. A.V.N.L. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Lalit Mohan Pattnaik, Pro-Chancellor; and Dr. Chandra Dhwaj Panda, Vice President of GIET University.
Adding further prestige to the occasion, Dr. Sistla Rama Devi Pani, Head of Research and Editor of University News, AIU, Ministry of Education, New Delhi, attended as the Guest of Honour. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Anuradha Mishra, Additional Director General, Directorate General of Vigilance, Eastern Zonal Unit, Kolkata, delivered a compelling address, emphasizing the vital role of women in leadership and governance.
The university honored its distinguished guests in a felicitation ceremony, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Suman Mishra, Co-Convenor of ICC. The evening concluded with an inspiring alumni message, a prize distribution ceremony, and a vibrant cultural night, celebrating the achievements and contributions of women.
The event was a resounding success, reaffirming GIET University’s commitment to gender equality, empowerment, and the celebration of women’s accomplishments across all spheres.
