Basti: In a tragic road accident in Uttar Pradesh as many as eight people have been killed as a high speed truck crashed into a car in the early morning hours of Monday. According to reports, a high-speed truck heading to Ayodhya collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction near Goatwa Tata Agency in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. The collision was so severe that as many as five passengers died on the spot, while three others are critically injured and hospitalized. all three breathed their last in the hospital while undergoing treatment. The police have recovered the bodies and taken them for post-mortem. An investigating into the accident is underway by the police. The identities of the deceased persons is yet to be ascertained.
