Major irregularity! 32 students get CBSE Class 12 English Elective question paper instead of English Core question

Baripada: A major irregularity during the CBSE Class 12 exam has come to the fore in Odisha. As many as 32 students of Badasahi Adarsha Vidyalaya in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha were shocked and surprised after their CBSE Class 12 question paper was changed today. Around 35 students of Badasahi Adarsha Vidyalaya went to write their English exam at the Titia Adarsha Vidyalaya, their exam centre. However, 32 of them were shocked after being given English Elective (an optional subject) question paper instead of English Core (a mandatory subject ) question paper. Not knowing what to do next, they left the exam centre crying without writing the exam. The students alleged that they were taught English Core subject for the last two years, but they were given English Elective question paper while writing the annual exam at Titia Adarsha Vidyalaya today. They accused the school authorities of carelessness saying that the registration for the exam was done by the authorities. The students even alleged that the school authorities did not take things seriously even though there was time and provision to make correction in the registration process. Meanwhile, parent and guardians of the students is said to have met Mayurbhanj district collector over the issue and sought his innervation into the matter. However, uncertainty looms large over future of the students following the major irregularity in the CBSE class 12 English exam.
