Jajpur: A massive fire broke out in a tyre godown in Chandikhol of Jajpur district. Properties worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in the fire. The tyre warehouse reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out on Monday. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. The Chandikhol and Rasulpur fire brigade rushed to the spot to douse the fire. The fire was so intense that it took 5 hours of effort to extinguish the fire. Meanwhile tyres worth lakhs of rupees both new and old got reduced to ashes. The trucks parked near the tyre godown had a close shave from the fire.
