Odisha Police issue advisory for Holi Festival 2025, harmful colours banned

Bhubaneswar: Keeping safety and security of the citizens during the upcoming Holi festival 2025, restrictions have been imposed on the sale of harmful colours in Odisha. If anybody is found selling harmful colours, strict action will be taken against him, said Sanjay Kumar, ADG, Law and Order on Wednesday. Odisha Police on Monday informed about the restrictions that have been imposed on sale of harmful colours in the coming days. Keeping the safety factor in view for the Holi Festival 2025 Police have imposed the restrictions. As per the information, a ban has been imposed on the sale of these illegal colors and if found, action will be taken against the wrongdoers. It is to be noted that special arrangements have been made by Odisha police to celebrate Holi and Dola festival with peace and order. Guidelines have also been issued to all the range DIGS and SPs in this regard. Police striking forces will be deployed in sensitive areas of all the districts. Reserve police have also been kept ready. Here is the advisory issued for the Holi Festival. Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena informed about this in a press meet today. Do not go into the water after drinking. Parents are also requested to remain alert around when their kids are playing with colours. Police, ODRF team deployed near all water bodies, rivers. Drunk driving will be monitored. Strict action will be taken in case someone found driving drunk. No one will fight on the road. Hotel checking will be done. Criminals will be monitored. There will be 20 platoons of police for Holi. Illegal liquor sale will be monitored. There will be raids a day before. There will be a ban on the sale of harmful colors.
