Odisha Assembly Adjourned Till 12 PM Amid Congress Protest

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till noon today as Congress members created uproar over the alarming rise in atrocities against women. The protest began as soon as the House assembled for the day, with Congress members staging a protest holding placards and shouting slogans. Speaker Surama Padhy repeatedly requested the protesting members to return to their seats, but the latter refused to budge. Finally, the Speaker adjourned the House till 12 pm. On the other hand, Congress members continued to stage a dharna near the Mahatma Gandhi statue inside the Assembly premises, holding placards and protesting against the government.
