Bengaluru, 21/3: The Karnataka Assembly on Friday passed Bills giving a 100 per cent salary hike to the chief minister and all lawmakers, which will cost the exchequer Rs 62 crore every year.
The monthly salary of the CM will rise from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh. All ministers will get a 108 per cent salary hike — from Rs 60,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh. MLAs and MLCs will see their monthly salary go up from Rs 40,000 to Rs 80,000.
Their pension will be hiked from Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000.
