Dramatic twist to Puri 20 kg gold: Police clarifies no cash or gold found from woman’s possession

Puri: The incident of the Puri 20 kg gold seizure has taken a dramatic twist as Police on Tuesday clarified that no cash or gold was found from the woman’s possession. Just a day after the shocking seizure, the police clarified that neither money nor gold was found from the woman. According to information, on Monday, around 20 kg of gold was seized from a woman from Puri’s Chandanpur. The police Inspector in-charge (IIC) Bhubanmohan Samantray after investigation said that no hard cash or gold was seized. Only six SBI cheques were found from the woman in the Puri 20 kg gold seizure incident. The woman was detained on Monday and later on arrested for fraud. She was court forwarded on Tuesday. During a raid, huge amounts of cash and 20 kg of gold was allegedly found from her house. A trolley bag full of 500 notes was also found. However, the Police has refuted the matter and issued a new statement saying that only six SBI cheques were found.
