Adani Foundation Enhances Rural Infrastructure Ensuring Better Connectivity and Safe Drinking Water

Dhamra, 28.03.2025: The Dhamra Foundation, the CSR wing of Dhamra Port, is committed to uplifting communities in the port peripheral area through a diverse range of initiatives aimed at enhancing well-being and fostering sustainable development. From healthcare services to livelihood support, from empowering farmers to strengthening children education, and from infrastructure development to ensuring access to clean drinking water, the Foundation’s interventions address the fundamental needs of the region, creating lasting positive impacts.

The Rabindranagar to Chandinipal fish market road, a key route for thousands of villagers, was previously a kacha mud road, making daily commutes challenging. Similarly, the Dian Narsinghpur road, connecting the village to Dhamra Panchayat, also lacked proper road infrastructure. Responding to requests from local panchayats, Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of Dhamra Port Company Limited undertook a baseline study and constructed a 1.5 KM paved road from Rabindranagar to Chandinipal fish market and a 670 Meter road in Dian Narsinghpur, significantly improving accessibility for the local communities. Addressing another critical issue of safe drinking water—the Foundation also installed 45 number of hand pumps with recharge pits in various Gram Panchayats of Bhadrak district. This initiative aims to combat water salinity and provide a reliable source of clean drinking water to villagers.

Beyond these developments, Adani Foundation continues to bridge infrastructure gaps in both its core and Railway Corridor region. With a strong commitment to sustainable community development, the Foundation reaffirms its dedication to enhancing the quality of life for the people of Bhadrak
