Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has announced that the evaluation process for the Plus Two exams will commence on April 2. The exam results will be declared on time by May 15. A total of 8,000 teachers have been appointed for the initial phase of evaluation, and they will be assessing answer sheets in their respective districts for convenience due to heat wave. According to CHSE examination controller Prashant Kumar Parida, the evaluation process will be closely monitored to ensure fairness and accuracy. This year, 3,93,618 candidates appeared for the Plus Two exams in the State. Notably, a total of 300 students were caught engaging in malpractice during the exams. However, in a relief to students booked inadvertently, those who were incorrectly booked without any fault will have their exam results published along with those of the general candidates. To address the challenges posed by the extreme heat, the number of evaluation centres has been increased. Evaluators will be checking answer sheets at a pace of 30 sheets in 5 hours for subjects carrying 35, 40, and 50 marks, and 20 sheets in 5 hours for subjects carrying 70 and 80 marks.
