Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Mohan Majhi on the occasion of Utkal Divas, greeted the people of Odisha. He also offered tributes to the valour of the sons of the soil for their contribution in making Odisha a separate state. He wrote,” On the occasion of the Utkal Divas, the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has extended his greetings to everyone. He paid tribute to the sons of Barputra who made their valuable contribution in the formation of a separate Odisha state and urged them to take a strong resolve to achieve the goal of creating a prosperous Odisha.” Odisha has turned 90 turns old today and the proud Odias are celebrating Utkal Divas today. On April 1, 1936 Odisha was officially acclaimed statehood. Odisha was the first state in India to be carved out on a linguistic basis. The valuable contribution of ‘Utkal Gouraba’ Madhusudan Das is worth mentioning here.
