Sundargarh:(Correspondent):- NTPC Darlipali celebrated Utkal Divas (Odisha Foundation Day) on 01 April 2025 with pomp and gaiety. Various competitions were organized on the occasion, such as Odia singing, painting, and Odia speaking competition (for non-Odia speakers). Children, housewives and employees participated enthusiastically in these competitions.
The painting competitions were held at Utkarsh Bhavan in Shubhrajyoti Nagar in two categories: Classes I to V (Monuments of Odisha) and Classes VI to X (Festivals of Odisha). In addition, Odia speaking and quiz competitions on Odisha were also organized.
Utkal Divas commenced with the organisation of Prabhat Pheri at Shubhrajyoti Nagar Township. A special cultural evening was organized in the evening, which included conch sound, Hulhuli, Odissi dance, etc., which made the event even more colourful. The main attraction of Utkal Diwas was the Odia Painting and Historical Photo Exhibition. At the end of the event, delicious food was also served to all the attendees.
Utkal Diwas was organized by Utkal Shree Committee of Shubhrajyoti Nagar. The committee chairman Mr. Pramod Kumar Singh and Mr. Prashant Behera General Secretary (Secretary) and committee members made the event a success.
