Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Utkal Diwas, Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal expressed deep gratitude to the people of Odisha for years of trusted partnership and reflected on the remarkable transformation of Kalahandi.
He fondly remembers, “I feel immense pride when I recall how Biju Babu personally told me that his life aim was to bring Kalahandi, one of the most backward areas, into the mainstream. By Lord Jagannathan’s grace, I was given the strength to take on this challenge, and we set up the world’s largest alumina factory there.”
Highlighting Odisha’s immense potential, Mr. Agarwal praised the state’s rich natural resources, vibrant culture, and global achievements of its people. “The world is witnessing Odisha’s rise, from its tourism and religious heritage to its abundant natural wealth. This state and its people are destined for greatness,” he said.
