Pipili: In a rare incident, an Ambulance caught fire today morning in the Puri district of Odisha. The incident took place near the selfie point in Pipili area. As per reports, a venomous snake bitten critical patient was being shifted from Delang to the Capital hospital in Bhubaneswar today morning. When it was halfway near the selfie point of Pipili a fire broke out. The incident took place in a 108 ambulance. Suddenly, the interior of the vehicle became hot and smoke started oozing out. The driver immediately stopped the ambulance after realizing that there was a fire and the patient was safely taken out of the ambulance. Also the Ambulance staff and patient’s attendants were evacuated from the vehicle. In the meanwhile the ambulance caught fire and started to burn. On receiving information, the Pipili fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire.
