Bhubaneswar: A devotee showed his utter faith and devotion to Goddess Tarini of Ghatagaan by donating a gold crown worth Rs 50 lakh. He had had made a spiritual promise before the Goddess who listiened to his prayers and blessed him as per his wish. The devotee, Bajrang Agarwal, a resident of Sundargarh district gifted the stunning ornament weighing 445g, valued at approximately 50 lakh. The mega offering also includes other intricate ornaments, including nose rings, anklets, and forehead ornament. These additional offering are of 25g of gold jewellery. According to temple authorities, the crown weighs 445g and 470mg. Bajrang Agarwal fulfilled his vow after his prayers were answered. The act of devotion has been widely admired by devotees and priests at the temple, who note that such contributions reflect deep-rooted religious faith. The shrine authorities said that the ornaments will be used in the temple’s daily rituals, while the crown will be used during special occasion to enhance the divinity of Goddess’ appearance. The temple administration has assured that the jewellery will be safeguarded and used in ceremonial functions.
