Security heightened in Agra ahead of Mahavir Jayanti, 1,000 jawans deployed

Agra: In an attempt to make Agra safe during the festival of Mahavir Jayanti security has been heightened in the city. Steps are being taken to better the security. According to reports, on security arrangements for the upcoming festival of Rana Sanga’s birth anniversary and Mahavir Jayanti, Sonam Kumar the DCP City of Agra shared information. The DCP informed about the, three-tier security plan that has been imposed in the city. He further said that, “Barriers have been put at 24 points with anti-riot equipment. Surveillance is being done through drones.” The City DCP further added, “We are ensuring that no untoward incident takes place. Over 1,000 jawans have been deployed in Agra.” It is worth mentioning, “controversy erupted over Ramji Lal Suman’s statement on Rana Sanga, which was later expunged from the House’s proceedings. Today, on Rana Sanga’s birth anniversary, organizations have announced a protest to be held in Agra.”
