Mayurbhanj: The body of a Class 2 girl student was found hanging inside the premises of an ashram school under Udala police station in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday. The deceased student was identified as a minor, a second-grade student residing in the school’s hostel. According to reports, the body was discovered by a fellow student who had stepped outside to relieve herself. The student noticed the lifeless body of the girl hanging from a bamboo pillar, about three feet off the ground, behind the school building. In shock, the student alerted the hostel warden and other staff members. The girl was quickly rescued and rushed to Udala Sub-Divisional Hospital. Despite attempts to save her, the attending doctor declared her dead upon arrival. Upon receiving the information, Udala police arrived promptly at the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
