PPA Observes opening Ceremony of National Fire Service Week – 2025
Paradeep : The Paradip Port Authority (PPA) observed the Opening Ceremony of the National Fire Service Week on 14th of April. The National Fire Service Day is observed every year on 14th of April to pay homage to the brave Firemen and Officers who lost their lives in Bombay Dock Explosion on April 14, 1944 and on subsequent occasions.
A massive Fire Safety Awareness Drive is being conducted w. e. f. 2nd April to 20th  April this year under the direction of Chairman, Paradip Port Authority so as to educate the Port Workers and stake holders as well as local public and school children about Fire Hazard, Fire Prevention and Fire-fighting. The theme for the year 2025 is:
” Unite, to ignite a fire safe India”
The Opening Ceremony was held at the Main Fire Station of CISF Fire Wing. Shri P L Haranadh, IRTS, Chairman PPA was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering he stressed on creating fire safety awareness among stakeholders and inspired CISF, FIRE Wing of PPA to bag the No. 1 trophy surpassing  the previous year Runners Up trophy in the Country amongst a total of 114 Fire Wing Units.
At the outset, CISF Commandant Shri Sanat Kumar Patel welcomed the invitees. At the end, Asst. Commandant, Shri Akash Jaiswal presented vote of thanks to all dignitaries and invitees.
The event was conducted by Company Commander Fire Wing Inspector Amreesh Kumar and the same was highly appreciated by one and all present on this auspicious occasion.
