After the World Test Championship in England, the Indian team will remain there and during this time the second-tier team can take part in the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.

BCCI has no other option
According to the report, the BCCI has no option but to send a second-class team as the board does not want to take any risk in the preparations for the England series.
