In the famous Kamlesh Prajapati encounter case of Barmer, there may be a tussle between the central government and the Gehlot government of the state. Even after a month, the central government has not taken any decision on whether to investigate the state’s famous Kamlesh Prajapati encounter case or not. After the approval of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, a month ago, the State Home Department had recommended a CBI inquiry to the Center, but there was no response from the Central Government. After this, the state home department wrote a letter to the central government requesting it to inform about its decision. Even after this, no reply letter from the central government came to the state government. Now the state government is preparing to write the reminder letter.
CBI did not take any decision
The CBI comes under the Union Ministry of Personnel and Public Grievances. The ministry will refer the letter received from the Rajasthan government to the CBI. CBI will decide whether to investigate or not only after examining the entire case. Usually, political interference in such matters also decides a lot. The State Home Department Group-1 had sent the recommendation letter, notification and the documents of the entire case to the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances. Amidst increasing pressure from local MLAs and Prajapat Samaj, the state government will probably write a reminder letter on Monday. Kamlesh encounter was under question from day one. No one could believe the story the police was telling in this case. People of Prajapat Samaj, including Pachpadra MLA Madan Prajapat, raised questions on the encounter and demanded a CBI inquiry into it.
Union minister in favor of CBI probe
Union Minister Kailash Chaudhary recently made a statement that he will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah to conduct a CBI inquiry into the encounter case. Kailash Chaudhary said that there should be a CBI inquiry into the matter and he will do his best for it. In fact, Revenue Minister Harish Chaudhary has recently been accused that he has met a Union Minister in Delhi and has demanded not to conduct a CBI inquiry into the Kamlesh Prajapati encounter case. However, Revenue Minister Harish Chaudhary has denied these allegations.
