New Delhi, 6/10: In a big development, Jim Corbett National Park may be renamed as Ramganga National Park, the director of the tiger reserve said here on Wednesday. According to Union Forest and Environment Minister Ashwani Kumar Choubey who visited Jim Corbett National Park on October 3 said that the name of this national park will be changed to Ramganga National Park,” the director of Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
During his recent visit to the area, Choubey had announced that a tiger safari will be created at the Dhela rescue centre in Ramnagar. Speaking at an event in Ramnagar, he had said that the formalities regarding the proposal have been completed and a final announcement is likely soon.
