Malkangiri, 7/3 (Ao Bureau): Police DG Abhay arrived in Malkangiri district today. DGP Abhay was felicitated by the Bonda women. He visited Bandaghati today and reviewed it. At around 12 noon, DGP Abhay reached Mudulipada in Bandaghati and attended a closed-door meeting with two BSF camp officials stationed here. A longtime BSF official, police, has come up with a strategy to curb the growing number of Naxalites in Bandaghati. The movement of the Naxals has somewhat declined here after two BSF camps were set up in Mudulipada and Andrahal in Bondaghati within a month.
DG Abhay told a news conference that he had visited Bandaghati in 1922 when he was SP in Malkangiri. Now he says he came to Bandaghati 24 years later. He said the government was working hard to develop the Bandaghati and Swabiman areas.
He emphasized the need to focus on roads, drinking water, health, and education. He encouraged ordinary people as well to take part in solving this great task
