Tamil Nadu CM Vijay slams DMK, AIADMK, rejects horse-trading charges
30 minutes ago
Kashipur -Odisha People in the Kansariguda area are seeing steady progress in the Aditya Alumina Refinery project by Hindalco. Along with the construction work, the company is also supporting nearby villages through activities in health, education, livelihoods, infrastructure, and community development, reaching more than 18,000 people. Locals believe the project will bring good opportunities in the future, especially for jobs and better facilities. Already, more than 1,000 youth from Rayagada and Koraput districts are working in the project through different agencies, giving hope for improved livelihoods and growth in the region. However, despite steady progress, the project has faced intermittent disruptions caused by certain vested interest groups. In an unfortunate incident in the recent past, a group unlawfully entered the construction site and severely assaulted security personnel, leading to injuries and raising serious concerns regarding safety and law and order. Further, there have been instances where workers engaged through reputed contractors such as L&T, ESSAR, and other agencies abruptly resorted to strikes on unfounded grounds, These actions appear to be influenced by some vested corporate interest rather than genuine local concerns. It is important to highlight that the local community has consistently extended strong support to the project, recognizing its potential to transform the region. However, there is growing apprehension among residents that continued interference by outside miscreants may hinder the project’s timely completion and jeopardize their future prospects. Community members have expressed concerns that such disruptions could be driven by competing interests company seeking to stall the project’s progress. They have reiterated their aspiration for peaceful development and have urged all stakeholders to ensure that the project proceeds without further obstruction. Aditya Alumina Refinery remains committed to working in close collaboration with local communities, administration, and all stakeholders to ensure safe, transparent, and timely execution of the project. The company strongly believes that the project will serve as a cornerstone for sustainable growth and inclusive development in the
