Jaipur , 21/5 (AO Bureau): The interim bail plea of Swayambhu Sant Asaram, who is serving life imprisonment in a rape case, was rejected by the Rajasthan High Court on Friday. The court instructed AIIMS to get the ulcer treated by allopathy method. If there is improvement in health, then send to jail. Asaram can be shifted to jail.
The bench of High Court Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice Devendra Kachhwah dismissed the interim bail plea. The hearing of the case lasted for half an hour. Asaram had said in the application that Ayurveda should be allowed to be treated instead of allopathic. The court rejected the petition and ordered treatment in AIIMS itself. Asaram had filed two applications in the High Court. The first application was for interim bail. The second petition was seeking treatment with Ayurveda method. The court has rejected both the applications.
