Mumbai, 12/10:The month of October is going to be very busy for BCCI. This month, the Indian board will issue a tender for the media rights of the league along with finalizing two new IPL teams. But the biggest thing is that this month the T20 World Cup is going to start from October 17 in the hosting of BCCI. Apart from this, the Indian Cricket Board also has another big task, that is to find the successor of Ravi Shastri (Team India New Coach). This month, the BCCI will start the process to finalize the new coach of Team India. Under this, BCCI will release advertisement for the post of new coach and support staff later this week.
A BCCI official told InsideSport that we should issue an advertisement for a new coach by the end of this week. We have already decided the conditions and necessary qualifications related to the coach of Team India. I think we will have a new coach and support staff before the New Zealand series in November. Team India has to play a series against New Zealand at home from November 17, which is starting only 3 days after the T20 World Cup final.
Shastri not keen on becoming coach again
Ravi Shastri and the rest of Team India’s support staff members will no longer be there after the T20 World Cup. Shastri himself has informed the BCCI that he will not apply for this post again. In such a situation, discussions have started about who will become the coach of Team India after him. Many former Indian and foreign players are involved in this race. Let us understand which one of them has a strong claim to become the coach of the Indian cricket team.
