New Delhi, 19/10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, who is facing heavy rains. On Tuesday, he took stock of the deteriorating situation in the state. Apart from CM Dhami, PM Modi has also discussed with Minister of State Ajay Bhatt. Heavy rains are continuing in Uttarakhand for the past few days. River drains are in spate in the state. So far 9 people have died in rain-related incidents.
On Monday, CM Dhami had informed that he is constantly monitoring the situation. He had tweeted, ‘I am constantly taking stock of the rain falling in different areas of the state. The concerned officers have been instructed to give hourly reports on the rain and traffic situation in each district and the administration to extend all possible help to the passengers. Many people are feared trapped under the debris. Police and administration have reached the spot.
