Patna, 30/12: The problems of Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal President Lalu Prasad Yadav and RJD MLA from Hasanpur in Samastipur, have increased. A case has been registered against Tej Pratap Yadav at Rosda police station in Samastipur district for giving false affidavit and hiding property details during Bihar assembly elections. Tej Pratap is accused of contesting the 2020 assembly elections by filing a false affidavit. It is being told that the sword of arrest is also hanging on him in this case. Let us inform that on the application of Brijesh Kumar, the Returning Officer cum SDO of Hasanpur Assembly, a case has been registered under section 125 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. Tej Pratap Yadav has been accused of hiding assets.
According to the case number 419/21 registered in the Rosda police station, Tej Pratap Yadav had filed the nomination form on 13 October 2020 as a candidate of Rashtriya Janata Dal from 140 Hasanpur assembly constituency under the notification of the second phase of the assembly elections. While filing the nomination, Tej Pratap Yadav had given wrong information about the immovable property in the affidavit. Bihar State JDU had complained about this to the Chief Electoral Officer of the state. The Chief Electoral Officer had sent a copy of this complaint to the Election Commission of India on 4 November 2020.
