Lucknow, 21/3: IPL 2022 (IPL 2022) is to start from 26 March. The first match is to be between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders (CSK vs KKR). The team of Lucknow Super Giants, captained by KL Rahul, is entering the tournament for the first time. England fast bowler Mark Wood, who was included in the team, has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. After this the team approached another bowler. This time a total of 10 teams are landing in the T20 league. A total of 74 matches are to be played. The final match is to be played on 29 May.

According to the report of Cricbuzz, Lucknow Super Giants had approached Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed in place of Mark Wood, but he has not yet received the NOC from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). BCB’s chairman of cricket operations Jalal Yunus said, “The team is currently on a tour of South Africa. After that we have to play series against India at home. Both these series are important for us. In such a situation, we feel that it would not be right for him to participate in the IPL.
