Kalinganagar, : With an objective to promote the importance of health and wellness among its employees
and their family members, Tata Steel Kalinganagar observed International Day of Yoga on Tuesday. On the occasion,
Yoga sessions were organised by Occupational Health Services Department at the housing complex near the plant
located at Duburi and the steel major’s housing complex located at Bamnipal. The sessions were attended by employees
and their family members who enthusiastically participated in the sessions early in the morning.
Rajiv Kumar, Vice President Operations, Tata Steel Kalinganagar along with other senior executives including YGS Prasad,
Chief Agglomerates and RS Mishra, Chief Safety joined the programme to spread the message of health and wellness as
per the theme for the year ‘Yoga for Humanity’.
Yoga, a physical, mental and spiritual practice, increases the natural resilience in the body. Wellness activities for
employees, such as this, always get high priority in Tata Steel.
