Bhubaneswar, 12/9: Today i.e on 12.09.2023, short while ago, Sri Soumya Ranjan Dash, ASO(Asst. Section Officer), O/o Engineer In Chief, Water Resources Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs. 5000/- from a complainant for processing his house building loan file for sanction of loan. The entire bribe money has been recovered from exclusive possession of Sri Dash and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Dash from DA angle.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case no 23/2023 U/s-7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Dash, ASO. Detailed report follows.
