Beijing, 25/9:The Indian women’s team defeated Sri Lanka in the final of the Hangzhou Asian Games cricket competition on Monday to win India’s second gold in the ongoing continental event.
Batting first, Indian team led by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur could only muster 116/7 in their 20 overs. Indian bowlers, however, held the Sri Lankan batting lineup to just 97/8, winning the match by 19 runs.
