Budget 2024: ‘11.8 crore farmers received financial assistance under PM KISAN Yojana,’ says FM Sitharaman

New Delhi, 1/2: The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the Union Budget 2024-25 said, “Under the PM Kisan Yojana, direct financial assistance is provided to 11.8 crore farmers.”

In her budget speech she also said, “The efforts of value addition in agriculture sector and boosting farmers’ incomes will be stepped up. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana has benefitted 38 lakh farmers and generated 10 lakh employment.”
