In a spirited demonstration of commitment to cleanliness and environmental sustainability, East Coast Railway observed the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign with a series of engaging activities, including a Prabhat Pheri, a 50 KM Cyclothon, and a tree plantation driveThe event was graced by General Manager Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, who officially flagged off the Cyclothon aimed at raising awareness for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Participants included staff, officers, and their families, who enthusiastically took to the streets, promoting cleanliness and sustainability.The Prabhat Pheri began at Rail Sadan, with a vibrant procession that saw participants marching proudly with slogan banners, posters, and placards. The procession wound its way through the Railway Colonies, culminating at the Railway Stadium, further amplifying the message of cleanliness and community spirit.In addition to the cycling and marching, a tree plantation drive was organized, led by General Manager Shri Funkwal and participated in by all Principal Heads of Departments. Together, they planted saplings to contribute to a greener and healthier environment.The day’s activities also included an Eco Walk and a Relay Race held at the Railway Stadium, fostering teamwork and promoting fitness among staff and officers from various departments.“This campaign embodies our collective responsibility towards a cleaner and greener future.
