Bhubaneswar: A car driver died when the van reportedly lost control and plunged into the nearby canal near Bamphakuda village under Cuttack Sadar police station limits in the wee hours of Tuesday.The deceased is Kahna Jena, a resident of Bamphakuda village. He was driving home late last night when the car reportedly lost control and plunged into the nearby canal.Locals spotted the submerged car and informed the fire brigade officials who rushed to the scene and retrieved the vehicle from the water. Kahnu’s body was found inside the car.Police have sent the body for autopsy and are investigating the cause of the accident.
