Koraput: The District Nodal Secretary and Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Labor and Employment Department, Smt. Chitra Arumugam, IAS conducted a review of key projects exceeding Rs. 100 crore in Koraput district today. During the review, Arumugam emphasized the importance of completing the construction of the District Headquarters Hospital in Jeypore by the end of this year. She also instructed officials to ensure the timely completion of mega drinking water projects in the region.
The review covered the progress of various flagship programs, including Subhadra, PM Kisan, CM Kisan, Nutrition, Pradhan Mantri Yojana, and Pension schemes. Koraput District Collector V. Keerthi Vasan, IAS, Chief Development Officer Debasish Patnaik, District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sushant Kumar Das, Divisional Forest Officer KV Vaskar Rao, Deputy Director, DPMU Suryakant Behera and the Assistant Director of Planning and Monitoring were present at the review meeting.
Following the meeting, the nodal officer conducted a field visit, inspecting the 650-bed teaching hospital in Koraput. In Jeypore, she assessed the progress of the District Headquarters Hospital and the Science Center. Throughout the visit, Koraput District Collector V. Keerthi Vasan, along with departmental officers, accompanied the nodal officer to ensure smooth coordination and implementation of the reviewed projects.
