Wayanad, 19/10: In a major development, Navya Haridas was named as candidate for the Lok Sabha by-elections in Kerala’s Wayanad where she will contest against Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Elections were necessitated in Wayanad after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who was elected from both Wayanad and Raebareli, chose to retain the latter.
Navya Haridas is the State General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha. She is a two-time councilor in Kozhikode Corporation and BJP parliamentary party leader in the corporation. She was the NDA candidate for Kozhikode South constituency in the last Assembly election held in 2021.
