KIIT University qualifies for All India Inter University Inter Zone Volleyball (Women) Championship

Bhubaneswar :The East Zone Inter University Volleyball (Women) Championship 2024-25 under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is being organized by KIIT – Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar from 06^th – 09^th November 2024. A total of 600+ participants from 39 universities out of which 6 from Odisha are participating in this said event. On the 3^rd Day in the quarter final matches KIIT University beat Siddharth University by 3-0 Sets; Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University beat Utkal University by 3-1 Sets; Adamas University beat M.G.Kashi Vidyapith by 3-0 Sets & University of Burdwan beat University of Calcutta by 3-0 Sets to emerge as the top 4 teams in the East Zone Inter University Volleyball (Women) Championship and qualify for the All India Inter University Inter Zone Volleyball (Women) Championship 2024 to be organized at Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa (MP).

 In the 1^st round of the league matches of Top 4 teams today KIIT University beat University of Burdwan by 3-0 Sets & Adamas University beat Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University 3-0 by Sets. The 2^nd round league matches between KIIT University & Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University and University of Burdwan & Adamas University. Tomorrow the 3^rd round league matches will be played between KIIT University & Adamas University and Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University & University of Burdwan.

All the players & officials from different universities thanked Prof. Achyuta Samanta for his contribution in developing volleyball at the grassroots level by providing necessary sports equipment to many clubs across different states of the country and also organizing various Volleyball National championships at KIIT & KISS premises. They also thanked Prof. Samanta for providing excellent facilities (Accommodation, Transportation and Field of Play) for the said championship. 

 Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT & KISS congratulated the KIIT Volleyball Women Team on qualifying for the All India Inter University Inter Zone Volleyball (W) Championship and conveyed his best wishes to all the players & wished them good luck for their future competitions.
