For the first time, assembly likely to be devoid of LoP as MVA parties fall flat

Mumbai, 23/3: The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly may not have a Leader of Opposition for the first time as none of the opposition parties have managed to win 10 per cent of the total number of 288 seats required to claim the post.

Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Saturday called Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and congratulated him on the party’s impressive performance in the Maharashtra assembly elections.
