In what can be considered as a huge relief for people who are at the threat of or battling with cancer, Russia has reportedly developed its own vaccine against cancer which it would launch and distribute to the citizens fee of cost in early 2025. The Russian government, meanwhile, called it as the discovery of the century.“Russia has developed its own mRNA vaccine against cancer, it will be distributed to patients free of charge, General Director of the Radiology Medical Research Center of the Russian Ministry of Health Andrey Kaprin has told Radio Rossiya,” Russian news agency TASS has reported.“The vaccine’s pre-clinical trials had shown that it suppresses tumor development and potential metastases,” Director of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology Alexander Gintsburg told TASS.Notably, Russia President Vladimir Putin earlier this year had said that “we have come very close to the creation of so-called cancer vaccines and immunomodulatory drugs of a new generation.”
