20th Dec, Angul: Jindal Steel and Power (JSP), located in Angul, extended a grand and heartfelt welcome to Smt. Savitri Jindal, Chairperson Emeritus of the O.P. Jindal Group, during her first visit to the Angul plant after being elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Hisar, Haryana, for the third time.
Angul Location Head and Executive Director Mr. Pankaj Malhan led the welcome ceremony, joined by Smt. Seema Malhan, Executive Director Mr. Damodar Mittal, and Smt. Anita Mittal. Students from DAV Savitri Jindal School and O.P. Jindal School teachers, JSP’s departmental heads; employees with their families; and a large gathering from neighbouring villages also participated in the programme.
Smt. Savitri Jindal, affectionately referred to as Mataji, received a red-carpet welcome at the Jindal Airport, where students from the schools welcomed her with a traditional Odissi dance. She then proceeded to the Devbhoomi Temple, Jindal Nagar, and interacted with employees, their families, and community members before visiting Shri Jagannath Temple for a special puja.
Expressing her happiness, Smt Savitri Jindal appreciated the warmth and affection she received. Joining her on this special occasion were her youngest son, Mr. Naveen Jindal, Chairman of JSP and a three-time Member of Parliament (MP) from Kurukshetra, Haryana, along with Smt. Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of Jindal Foundation, and other family members.
Close associates of Mataji highlighted her remarkable benevolence, recounting how she makes everyone feel like part of her extended family during their first interaction.
